Doug Workman grew up in north Georgia. After graduating from high school, Doug moved to Wyoming to guide hunting and fishing trips. He shod trail and pack horses early in his career. After several years, in 1990, Doug met Jack Schwarz whom he apprenticed with for 4 ? years. Doug achieved his Certified Farrier through the AFA in 1994 and two years later is 1996 reached Certified Journeyman Farrier. Doug shoes dressage and hunters/jumpers in and around the Atlanta, GA area. Doug has been an active member with and is a Past president of the Georgia Professional Farriers Association. Doug received the AFA's Walt Taylor Award in 2010 and is an active clinician for Farrier Product Distribution (FPD).
