I was taught the family trade of shoeing horses, as were my three brothers, at a very young age. I nailed on my first pair of shoes at the age of nine. Almost sixty years later I have gained a vast knowledge of numerous breeds of horses. I have worked at racetracks in the United States and Canada for over forty years which contributes greatly to my knowledge of the driving horse. Driving carriage horses was a dream of mine watching my father in the parades. I am very fortunate to work hand in hand with my daughter on all the different breeds that have been through our barn.
